Biographies

John Rooney - Chairman and CEO

Is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator with over 33 years of experience. He has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Northern Blizzard since November 2009.

From December 2007 to April 2009, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of TUSK Energy Corporation, a publicly-traded company engaged in oil and natural gas exploration and production. From August 2005 to December 2006 Mr. Rooney was President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Zenas Energy Corp. From December 2002 to July 2005 he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Blizzard Energy Inc. and served as a Director of Blizzard Energy Inc. from May 2003 to July 2005. From May 1999 to June 2002 Mr. Rooney was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and then President and Chief Executive Officer of Equatorial Energy Inc. Mr. Rooney is also currently a Director of Western Energy Services Corp. (a publicly traded oil services company).

Jim Artindale – President and COO

Is a Professional Engineer with over 34 years of experience. He has been President and Chief Operating Officer of Northern Blizzard since November 2009.

From April 2007 to April 2009, Mr. Artindale served as a Vice President with EnCana Corporation, a publicly-traded company. From August 2005 to December 2006, Mr. Artindale was Executive Chairman of Zenas Energy Corp. From December 2002 to July 2005, he was Executive Chairman of Blizzard Energy Inc. From January 2002 to December 2002, Mr. Artindale was Chief Executive Officer of KZ Energy. Prior thereto, Mr. Artindale served as Managing Director of Tristone Capital Inc., from October 2001 to January 2002; Vice President of Corporate Development of Ventus Energy Ltd. from October 1998 to September 2001 and Manager of Business Development of Tarragon Oil & Gas Limited from March 1998 to October 1998. Mr. Artindale has served on numerous boards of publicly traded companies.

Ian Bruce – Lead Director

Has over 30 years of investment and financing experience related to the energy industry.

Mr. Bruce was Co-Chairman of Peters & Co. Limited from 2010 until his retirement in 2011. Prior thereto, he was President and Chief Executive Officer from 2002 to 2010 and Vice Chairman from 1998 to 2002 of Peters & Co. Limited. Mr. Bruce was past Chairman and Director of the Investment Industry Association of Canada; a past member on the Expert Panel on Canadian Securities Regulation; and past Chairman, Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator.

Mr. Bruce serves on the board of directors of the following companies: Public Companies: Logan International Inc. Cameco Corporation Private Companies: Ambyint Inc. (formerly Pumpwell Solutions Ltd.), Laricina Energy Ltd., and Production Plus Energy Services Inc. (formerly TriAxon Oil Corp.)

Harold (Hal) Kvisle

Is the former Chief Executive Officer of Talisman Energy Inc. (“Talisman”) and TransCanada Corporation (“TransCanada”).

He has more than 35 years of experience in the energy sector, including exploration, development, production, pipelines and power generation. Mr. Kvisle joined Talisman in 2012 after serving as TransCanada’s Chief Executive Officer from 2001 until his retirement in 2010. Prior thereto, Mr. Kvisle held engineering, finance and management positions with Fletcher Challenge Energy and Dome Petroleum Limited. Mr. Kvisle previously served as a director of Bank of Montreal, TransCanada and PrimeWest Energy Inc., and chaired the Board of Governors of Mount Royal University and the Board of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America.

Mr. Kvisle serves on the board of directors of the following companies: Public Companies: ARC Resources Ltd. Other: Past Chair of National Board of the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

Doug Manner

Is Chief Executive Officer of Sintana Energy Inc. (“Sintana”), an oil and gas exploration and production company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, and has more than 33 years experience in the energy sector.

Mr. Manner has been the Chief Executive Officer of Sintana since 2011. Prior thereto, from 2008 to 2011, Mr. Manner was the Managing Partner of Northbrook Energy, LLC, a private oil and gas exploration and production company. Mr. Manner has also previously held senior executive positions with Westside Energy Corporation, Kosmos Energy, LLC, White Stone Energy LLC, Bellwether Exploration Company, Gulf Canada Resources Limited, Ryder Scott Company Petroleum Consultants and AmocoProduction Company. Mr. Manner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University and is a professional engineer certified by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta. Mr. Manner is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and a previous member of the Petroleum Society of Canada.

Mr. Manner serves on the board of directors for the following public companies: Sintana Energy Inc.

Adam Waterous

Is the CEO and Managing Partner of the Waterous Energy Fund. Adam most recently served as Global Head of Investment Banking and Head of Energy and Power, North America at Scotiabank, where he was responsible for all of Scotiabank's global Equity and Advisory activities and Scotia Waterous.

Adam joined Waterous & Co., a predecessor firm to Scotia Waterous, in September 1991 where he was a member of the firm's Executive Committee and a Founder of the firm. Scotia Capital acquired Waterous & Co. in 2005.

Before joining Waterous & Co., Adam was employed with BCE Development, one of Canada's largest publicly traded real estate development companies. Prior to that, Adam worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions department with First Boston Corporation in New York and in management consulting with McKinsey & Company in Toronto. Adam holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Being in the top five percent of his class, he was designated a Baker Scholar.
